A 39-year-old motorcyclist identified as Jorge Perez, was apparently injured in an Orange County car accident after his motorcycle was struck by an SUV on the 57 Freeway in Brea. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the accident happened on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Lambert Avenue. Perez was riding his 2001 Suzuki motorcycle when he was struck by a Toyota Sequoia. Perez sustained moderate injuries and the driver of the SUV was uninjured, California Highway Patrol officials said.

    Motorcycle accidents are all too common. This is why there should be a federal law to wear a helmet. I live in South Florida and see people riding on the highway with no helmet. THey are just asking for a death sentance or brain injury.
