A Los Angeles car accident involving three vehicles occurred on March 16, 2010, seriously injuring a motorcyclist, according to a report in the Whittier Daily News. A 20-year-old female driver of a Toyota Camry was traveling in the northbound lanes of the 605 Freeway, near Whittier Boulevard, and came up against slowing traffic.
California Highway Patrol officials said the driver attempted to avoid a collision, swerved and the vehicle hit the center divider of the freeway. The Toyota then ricocheted into traffic lanes and in front of an approaching motorcycle. The rider, identified only as a Bellflower man in his 30s, was thrown from his bike that collided with a Honda Civic. The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries including a broken left leg and multiple lacerations. The accident is still under investigation and no citations have yet been issued.
My thoughts and prayers are with this severely injured victim and his family. I sincerely hope that he will recover quickly and heal completely from this horrific multi-vehicle accident.
