A car accident in Fresno caused serious injuries to a man and a child after they were hit by an out-of-control vehicle. The Fresno Bee reports that the accident occurred the afternoon of June 9, 2010 on San Jose Avenue near First Street. A driver lost control of her pickup truck and struck another vehicle.

Then, the pickup truck went across the road and hit a man and the child he was pushing in a stroller. Both the man and the child sustained severe injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the pickup told officials that she blacked out while driving. Four others were also injured including the driver of the truck. Officials are investigating the incident.

I sympathize with the man and the child who sustained serious injuries. I hope they did not suffer any catastrophic injuries and pray that they recover quickly and completely. They will be in my prayers.
