DUI Law and Liability Issues

California Vehicle Code Section 23152 (a) states: "It is unlawful for any person who is under the influence of any alcoholic beverage or drug, or under the combined influence of any alcoholic beverage and drug, to drive a vehicle." If the driver is underage, then he or she cannot consume any alcohol. For those over 21 years of age, it is illegal to driver with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.

In this case, the young people who were injured could seek compensation from the driver for injuries, damages and losses.
