Car Accident Liability Issues
In this particular case, it is not clear how this fatal bicycle accident occurred. The liability in such accidents depends on whose fault the car accident was. If the driver of the pickup caused the accident, then he or she could be held liable for Willison's fatal injuries and wrongful death. In such car accidents, if the at-fault party is on the job or running an errand for someone, then the driver's employer or the person he or she was running an errand for could also be liable. If a dangerous roadway condition caused the accident, the governmental agency responsible for maintaining that roadway could also be held responsible. Any such claim against a governmental agency in California must be filed within six months of the accident or injury. The article also does not tall us much about where Willison was at the time of the accident.
